Notre Dame’s Sacred Music Academy performs two Christmas live shows

The College of Notre Dame’s Sacred Music Academy presents two Christmas live shows because the Notre Dame Kids’s Choir celebrates its tenth anniversary:

• Notre Dame Kids’s Choir Classes and Carols Live performance, at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. Seventh St., Mishawaka: This annual Classes and Carols Live performance characteristic three of this system’s six kids’s choirs, almost 100 kids ages 5 to 10, performing works for Introduction with scripture readings, prayers and congregational hymns.

• Christmas with Sacred Music at Notre Dame, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at Sacred Coronary heart Basilica on the campus of Notre Dame: This live performance celebrates the seasons of Introduction, Christmas and Epiphany by the choral, organ and vocal music of sacred music composers of Gregorian Chant to modern carols. This system consists of works by Vaughan Williams, Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Whitacre, and extra carried out by the graduate college students and school of Sacred Music at Notre Dame, in addition to Concordia Vocal Ensemble and the Notre Dame Kids’s Choir. Organ prelude begins at 7 p.m.

Admission to each live shows is free.
